The world is becoming more volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) every day. Geopolitical shifts, economic instability, AI disruption, new regulations, cybersecurity threats, and climate concerns make long-term planning harder than ever. At the same time, digital transformation, automation, and agile ways of working push organizations to move faster—often at the expense of structure and predictability.

In this reality, how do we define responsible requirements engineering? Can RE help bring clarity, or is it just reacting to change? Are new regulations stabilizing RE or just adding complexity? How do we ensure RE supports all stakeholders - especially in a world where technology increasingly shapes society? How can we practice responsible RE when everything - business, technology, and society - keeps shifting?
